The cool beige and cream color scheme provides the backdrop for custom-designed contemporary furnishings and cherry wood millwork cabinets, lending a residential feel to the interior. A banded mirror circles each of our individual DC accommodations, and signature silkscreen prints adorn the walls. A striking cobalt blue lounge - infused with the image of Washington found in the painting “Rushmore Head,” - and ottoman draped with a fuchsia-hued throw add a splash of vibrant color to the room. The artisanal décor is enhanced with a copy of a work entitled “Visionary,” which features a contemporary portrayal of American icon George Washington. George Suite. The hotel’s principal one-bedroom suite, the 535 square foot George Suite is a pioneer in style and comfort. The George Suite features a spacious living room with smart, contemporary furnishings, a dining/meeting area with table and chairs adaptable to meetings or dining, and an adjoining powder room - the perfect venue for hospitality events and informal meetings. This suite is outfitted with modern fixtures, two plasma TVs, sound system, DVD player, stocked mini bar, and plush leopard print robes. The bedroom features a king bed and custom-designed furnishings, while the adjacent marble bathroom dazzles with a large dressing area, a deep-soaking Fuji Jacuzzi tub, a separate shower, luxurious bath products and two separate granite-topped sinks. Parlor Suite. Facing E Street, our two 275 sq. ft. Parlor Suites connect to an adjoining king bedded room with sitting areas accented with custom-designed millwork cabinets. An executive meeting suite by day and a comfortable bedroom by night, this suite features a double-size Murphy bed concealed behind a false wall and small dining/meeting area. The comfortable living room area offers a sofa, arm chair, coffee table with a plasma TV and complimentary WiFi. The luxurious marble bathroom comes with an audio speaker, a magnifying makeup mirror, luxurious bath products, hair dryer, cotton balls, Q Tips, leopard print robes, shoeshine kit, shower cap and vanity. The configuration is also well suited to families, whose children might be fascinated by a type of bed familiar to their great-grandparents.
