Honoring the classical history of Washington DC and Capitol Hill while providing
a luxury boutique hotel experience expected by savvy travelers of today, our
exceptional Washington DC accommodations are the result of a grand collection
of creativity, both past and present, making the outcome of this destination a feat
much bigger than any one of its parts. Our collaborators:
Hotel Designer: Renowned architectural firm Adamstein & Demetriou, the sleek
interior décor with splashes of contemporary design elements is accented by
expanses of glass, stainless steel, and coral stone, our unique boutique is a fusion
of vintage chic and urban contemporary cool. Custom-designed Cassina Usa
chrome and glass tables hang in delicate balance to a Louis Poulsen Artichoke
chandelier, a companion to the original in the permanent collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art. Sofas and chairs atop boldly colored rugs are part of the Utrecht collection and designed by Dutch architect Gerrit Rietveld in 1935. The modern contemporary design elements are complemented by a collection of modern art displayed throughout the hotel. The signature work in the hotel’s art collection is an oil-on-canvas portrait of George Washington by Andy Warhol protégé Steve Kaufman.
